Equipment mobilisation to remote sites is a project inside the project — and it rewards planning.

Survey the route, not the distance

The last 20 kilometres decide everything. Bridge load ratings, overhead clearances, village transit timings, and the state of the final approach track determine what can move, when, and on what trailer. Sequence the convoy like a construction schedule

Cranes must arrive before the loads they will lift. Fuel storage before the machines that will drink it. Accommodation before the crews that will run everything else. A mobilisation plan is a dependency chart, and violating it strands equipment — or people — in the wrong order.

Demobilisation is half the contract

Every unit that mobilises eventually returns. Contracts that price mobilisation carefully but leave demobilisation vague produce end-of-project disputes at exactly the moment goodwill matters least. Insist on symmetrical, explicit terms.
